Music Suggestion

Deep Purple – Turning To Crime is the return of the living legend of hard rock with a great covers album.

The album consists of 12 songs for 50 minutes of music.
It was virtually recorded, under the skillful direction and production of another legend like Bob Erzin, during the period of the lock down.

The songs have been revisited and arranged by the band in a rock and roll key, in a fun way, from the heart and with the desire to play and sing their favorite and certainly not obvious songs.

It starts with 7 is 7 by Love, where the old rock lions immediately set the record straight with a rocking and technical interpretation, almost progressive.

It continues with the third single released: Rockin ‘Pneumonia And The Boogie Woogie Flu cheerful, rock and dance song, almost as if we were in the presence of a classic rock big band.

Third song and second single released is the cover of Oh Well by Fleetwood Mac, a masterpiece of interpretation of the song in a hard rock blues key where our heroes have been masters for over 50 years now.

This great work culminates in the end with the White Room cover by Cream until the last song Caught in Act, an almost instrumental medley of several songs: Going Down (Jeff Beck Group), Green Onions (Booker T. & the MGs), Hot’ Lanta (The Allman Brothers Band),’ Dazed And Confused (Led Zeppelin) and Gimme Some Lovin‘ (The Spencer Davis Group).

A wonderful conclusion for this amazing covers album!

The return of Deep Purple is highly recommended! To listen to, to dance to, to be enjoyed in small sound doses or all in one breath.
Long live to the hard rock legend Deep Purple.
