SepulQuarta is the third live album of the Brazilian musical group Sepultura, released on August 13, 2021.
Following the need for isolation and the ban on concerts due to the COVID-19 pandemic, starting from April 2020 Sepultura inaugurated SepulQuarta, a weekly and then fortnightly appointment on YouTube, where they told episodes of the group’s history , invited guests, answered questions from fans and played live.
The Sepultura – SepulQuarta disc contains a selection of 15 of these collaborations. Each song has a guest musician who has played at home, connected by video conference with the others.
The sounds and musical production are brilliant home-made, but this makes this live album even more unmissable: being in room with Sepultura and guests and listening to the songs that came out better during rehearsals.
A plus, the cover is wonderful, created by Eduardo Recife. It’ s a deceased bird from whose body flowers are born: a metaphorical representation of the pandemic that destroys but from which something new and beautiful is born.
