Every Time I Die – Radical
Every Time I Die is an American band from Buffalo, New York, formed in 1998.
Radical is the latest LP released the on October 22 this year.
From the very first listening, it proves to be an impactful album that takes immediately and makes you want to pog and headbanging against any wall and on the floor as well!
The energy and the attitude of the band jump out from the first note, thanks to the work of the guitars by Jordan Buckley and Andy Williams and to the interpretation always at the limit of the voice of Keith Buckley.
I broke my own heart I’m trying to convince myself
Post-Boredom
That I can suffer if I want, motherfucker
Just put me back on your shelf
My annihilation, my annihilation, my annihilation
My annihilation started before I did
My annihilation, my annihilation, my annihilation
My annihilation ended before we did
I gave you nothing
You want more?
You’ll get more nothing
The latter, like the rest of the band, also knows how to embroider on more melodic and subdued musical registers as in Thing With Feathers, vaguely reminiscent of the last Maynard
in A Perfect Circle.
I think we’re done here, no conversation
Thing With Feathers
Just telepathic communication
While you’re locked beneath your bones
The sky awaits
You’re a thing with feathers, now elevate
You’re a thing with feathers, now elevate
In the long dark night of eternal life
You’ve always been a light
I think you’re done here, they’ve been mistaken
They pored over the papers, trying to solve your equation
But the truth was not in math, it was in faith
The divine does not divide, she permeates
In the long dark night of eternal life, shine on
Shine on
You’ve always been
You’ve always been a light
But I think you’re done here
Standing ovation
