Long Distance Calling – Ghost
Music Suggestion

Long Distance Calling – Ghost is the latest EP released by the band from Münster (Germany), formed in 2006.

At the end of November 2020, the jam EP Ghost was created in a remote country house.

Quoting the press release statement:

The concept of the EP follows the idea of the Nighthawk EP released in 2014 : no preparation, no false bottom. Just a band that creates music together out of nowhere, by the musicians throwing ideas to each other in a three-day jam session, to play with and to record them directly for eternity. The result is an exciting journey through different styles and atmospheres, on which you can discover a lot of new territory in addition to the familiar. Musically, Ghost is not a successor or a sequel to How Do We Want To Live?, but rather shows a band in full bloom that has never lost its love of experimentation. Ghost was recorded live, no overdubs, no editing, the real deal.

From EP Press release

This EP is a pleasant surprise:
light melodies, fluid hooks, catchy riffs.
A soundtrack for the times we are living in, as demonstrated by the single Black Shuck
and by the song Negative Is The New Positive.

The Long Distance Calling continue in their sound path made of post rock with progressive hues and in their musical production, churning out discs or EPs that are always pleasant to listen to and keeping their sonic coordinates intact.

GHOST – It is a genuine piece of work that will amaze for the immediacy and the sonic freshness offered even without detaching itself from the typical canons of the band and from the POST trend. Listening highly recommended!
